The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) held the Commemoration of Riau National Children's Day (HAN) at Riau province on Thursday (30/8) at Balai Sarindit, Pekanbaru, Riau. The 2018 theme was "Indonesian Children, Children of Genius".

This celebration was interpreted as the concern of the entire Indonesian people towards the protection of Indonesian children in order to grow and develop optimally, by encouraging Indonesian families to become the first and foremost institutions in providing protection to children, so that the nation's future generation is healthy, intelligent, cheerful, noble and love the country. Commemoration of National Children's Day (HAN) has been held since 1986, based on Presidential Decree No. 44 of 1984.

More than thousand invitees attended this event, including the Governor and Vice Governor of Riau Province, Wakapolda Riau, Danrem, Danlanud, Riau DPRD Members Commission E also from government institutions, Education institutions as well as hospitality institutions.

PRIME PARK Hotel Pekanbaru was also participated and received Dunia Usaha Hari Anak Nasional award which was directly given by the Governor of Riau Arsyadjuliandi Rachman.

General Manager of PRIME PARK Hotel Pekanbaru Mukharom, after receiving the award said, there needs to be awareness that can encourage Indonesian families to have quality care, insight, skills and comprehensive understanding in fulfilling the rights and protection of children.

"We are delighted and honored to receive this award. Families must ensure that a child has their rights and protection, as an example to give children appropriate information, keep away from negative content. Furthermore, protect them from all forms of violence, drugs, environment or society that can make negative effects to their growth and development," Mukharom said.
